Four Thieves Vinegar

I wrote this at the start of the pandemic when we first went into lockdown, it made me laugh to read it back but it still makes sense to use natural anti-infectives like this.  Ideal for cleaning but also perfectly safe to drink. I also use this as part of the base for my Bug Begone insect repellent. “In full apocalypse prep mode now making 4 Thieves Vinegar. For anyone who doesn’t know the story it was a preparation used by Marseilles grave robbers during the Black Death to avoid catching plague from the corpses they looted. It is said that they doused their hands and face masks in it and drank it as a preventative tonic.

The original recipe is lost in the mists of time and there are many versions. For mine I used the following ingredients:
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
Wormwood, Meadowsweet, Lavender, Hyssop, Marjoram, Mint, Sage, Thyme, Cloves, Sweet Flag and Garlic.
